This work is best suited for either an undergraduate or graduate religious studies or theology course. It is also affordable for students to purchase. The best way to teach this book is to follow the natural division in the book (Books 1-9 and Books 10-13): the first part concerns Augustine's autobiography and the second part speculates about Christian metaphysics.
