This volume is an adequate translation of Aristotle's works and is affordable for students to purchase. The volume contains an excellent introduction to acquaint freshmen to Aristotle's thought for the first thing; and it could be used in a range of courses in philosophy, literature, political science, and even in some courses in the natural sciences.
The volume includes the Organon, Physics, On the Heavens, On Generation and Corruption, On the Soul, Short Physical Treatises, History of Animals, On Parts of the Animals, On the Generation of Animals, Metaphysics, Nicomachean Ethics, Politics, Rhetoric, and Poetics.
The complete translations are available for all these works in this volume except for Analytica Priora, Topica, De Sophistics Elenchis, On the Heaveans, History of the Animals, On the Generation of the Animals, and the Rhetoric. For the most part, the ommission of certain books and chapters seem reasonable, e.g., chapters 2-12 of Book 3 in the Rhetoric, but it could be frustrating for those who want to cover an entire treatise of Aristotle.
